If you plant a visit to Doha, you should begin the visa application process at  least a month in advance to your trip.

Tourist Visas are granted to tourists through hotels or tourist agencies that have such a facility, on prior approval from competent authorities. It is also granted to relatives of Qatar residents through Qatar Airways. This visa holds one month validity and is non-extendable.

For obtaining tourist visa, fill in the application form and submit it through Hotel Manager or his representative. Attach other requisite documents such as passport copy of the visitor, original establishment ID card of hotel or tourist agency, and ID of the applicant.

In the past, the visiting person should be a relative or in-law of the sponsoring resident in Qatar, with first or second category relationship. But today, you can apply tourist visa online yourself. You must have a valid and confirmed plane ticket to Qatar . Then you can go to Qatarairways.com to process your visa application online. You can pay with your Master card or credit card.

To apply online, you must have a valid and confirmed air ticket to Qatar. If you have booked your ticket with Qatar Airways, you can start the application process by logging in to ‘My Trips’ and retrieving your booking. You can then apply for a tourist visa for the relevant portion of your journey.

Once you click ‘Apply for a visa’, your booking information will be shared with VFS to initiate the application, where you will be able to select the names of the passenger(s) applying for a visa and proceed with providing the relevant details, documents and payment information required to process the application.

Alternatively, you can visit VFS Global and apply you visa. VFS is responsible for processing Qatar Tourist visa applications through its website and will also collect payment for your application. All enquiries regarding your visa application should be made directly to VFS. You will be contacted within 4 working days from the date the application is completed.

Visa holders cannot work in Qatar during their stay.

Applications can be made a maximum of 90 days or minimum of four (4) working days prior to travel.

The passport should be valid for at least six (6) months from the date of entry in Qatar.

Fees

  • Tourist Visas issuance fees are QR100, QR50 for each accompanying person and QR200 as overstay fine per day.
  • Joint Tourist Visa extension fees are QR100.
